Step 4: Advanced Backup Settings



In this step of the New Task Wizard you need to select what type of backup you are going to perform: full or incremental. Also, you may set up additional features that are not available in Standard Mode.

  1. Select backup type.

  2. Similar to Standard mode, backup type can be chosen from two options:



    The other options belong to advanced backup configuration and are available in Expert mode only.


  3. Check Delete all files in the destination except those being backed up to enable deletion of files in the destination folder that have no relation to the current backup task.

  4. Check Store backups with timestamps to enable timestamps. Your backups will be provided with the information as to when they were created.

  5. To define properties of time labeling, click Timestamp format settings.... The Timestamps format settings window will appear.

  6. Click File-specific settings to select how to treat different file types while backing up.

  7. When finished, click Next.
